Around The World and Science

This half term we have been focussing on the geographical aspects of South America. The children will be learning to: describe a range of physical and human features of places using appropriate geographical terms; make geographical comparisons between North and South America;  offer appropriate observations about locations of physical and human features;  ask and respond to geographical questions; use maps and secondary sources.

During the second half of the Autumn Term we will be studying the Mayan civilisation, they were one of several ancient societies in South America.

To coincide with our visit to Jodrell Bank (Tuesday 18th November) our science studies for the second half of term will focus on the Earth and beyond.
