If you have any questions or concerns regarding anything, please feel free to write a comment in the home link book or pop into school and speak to any of us. Over the year, we will be using this webpage to post lots of useful and important information, such as home learning, useful websites and photos.
The topic this term is ‘Wellies and Flip-Flops and all other work will be based around this. Children will look at the similarities and differences between two different locations– Oswestry and Llandudno. We will also look at how these locations have changed over time. Children will work in groups to look at leisure, physical features, human features, transport and retail in both Oswestry and Llandudno. In music we will be learning seaside songs and then having a go at creating ’soundscapes’. In Geography, children will study maps of both areas and ICT will be used across the curriculum to enhance their learning. For their Design & Technology project, the children will design and make a kite. In Art, children will learn all about Van Gogh and his life. They will learn how to create paintings in a similar style to Van Gogh. In PSHE they will learn to develop further their sharing, listening and cooperating skills. To enrich their learning, we will be taking the children to Llandudno where they will have opportunity to make their comparisons with their local environment.
Homelink books: These must be handed in every morning so that we can receive any important messages or to record if your child has read.
Reading - If your child has read three times or more a week their name will go into a chance box. They will then be in for a chance of winning a Meadows School bookmark and a pencil!
Forest School - The children will need to bring warm clothes, waterproof coats, scarves, gloves, hats and wellies to wear in the forest. The children will be split into two groups.
