Assessment Results

2016 ASSESSMENT OUTCOMES

In 2016, assessment in primary schools was fully revised and a new ‘expected’ standard was created. This is nationally recognised as being a higher standard than in 2015.

Results are no longer reported as levels, instead each child receives their test results as a scaled score from 80 – 120. At KS2, to attain the expected level, children must achieve a scaled score of 100+. Children who achieve a scaled score of 110+ are deemed to be working at a higher standard.

At KS1, teacher assessment judgements are awarded for each pupil. These judgements are based on a national teacher assessment framework and are moderated internally within school and externally with teachers from other schools. The Local Authority also play a role in moderating and validating teachers’ assessment judgements.

The results that pupils at The Meadows Primary School achieved in 2016 are listed below with the national average being given in brackets. Due to the changes in the assessment system nationally in 2016, it is not possible to compare these results to those in previous years. However, our 2015 test outcomes are detailed below for your information.
