World Book Day 2022
We had an amazing time dressing up in our chosen book character for World Book Day!
Early Years and KS1 pupils all visited Booka, which is a book shop in Oswestry. They listened to a story and then got to choose a book using their World Book Day token.
All of our KS2 children accessed two virtual author events: ‘Fireborn’ by Aisling Fowler and ‘The Last Bear' by Hannah Gold, whilst Early Years and KS1 were able to meet a local author, Kate Edwards, and listen to her story, 'Super Sweet Potato'.
During the afternoon, the children had regular 'Drop Everything and Read' sessions. At the end of the day, a book swap took place, whereby children could swap books they had already read, for other books which had been brought in.
