BONFIRE NIGHT

We will be learning about Bonfire Night the week AFTER Bonfire Night so that the children have experiences to draw upon.  We will learn about why Bonfire Night is celebrated and talk about what happens on Bonfire Night including lots of lovely discussion about colours and sounds they see to develop their vocabulary.  It would be beneficial to talk to your child about what they are seeing and hearing around Bonfire Night trying to use the following words (vocabulary): colours, rainbow, gold/en, silver/y, sparkly, shiny, twinkling, shimmering, glittering, whoosh, zoom, bang, sizzle, fizz, bang etc.
